St. Clair County deadline tracker

St. Clair County 2026 assessment appeal deadlines

In St. Clair County, you don't get one countywide deadline. Each township publishes its assessment list in a local newspaper, then you generally have about 30 days to file with the Board of Review. City limits are not township lines — check your parcel.

How to use this tracker Find your township → note its status → if open, run a free estimate; if TBD, get an alert; if closed, review next-step options.
Open — You can still file for 2026. TBD — The assessment list is not published yet. Closed — The 2026 Board of Review window ended.

Verified against St. Clair County sources: October 7, 2026. Statuses use America/Chicago time.

Official St. Clair County sources

St. Clair County's 2026 Publications Listing posts township publication dates and last dates to appeal. Most townships closed late September 2026. Canteen publishes October 8, 2026 with a last appeal date of November 9, 2026. O'Fallon Township has no publication or appeal dates posted yet; the Assessor site says O'Fallon Township values are not yet finalized for 2026. The 2026 non-farm PTAX-230 complaint form must be returned to the Supervisor of Assessments office before the close of business 30 days after publication for the assessment district. Current county materials list paper filing with the office; no e-file portal is listed for the formal complaint. Board of Review materials require evidence in the office at least 5 days before a scheduled hearing.
